Regional owners & multi-site project teams

Geotechnical planning for multi-site programs.

Compare what each site needs before commissioning the work. Our Cincinnati-based team brings Ohio and Kentucky project experience to conversations about investigations, foundations, earth retention, and construction support. Coverage is confirmed by location.

Coordinate the program. Investigate each site.

Regional work needs consistent communication without assuming every location has the same ground conditions. Start with the sites, delivery schedule, and decisions the design teams need to make.

01

Regional project coordination

Provide the list of locations and the sequence of design and construction milestones. Confirm the team’s scope, coverage, and professional requirements for each project location.

02

Site-specific investigation

Available records can inform planning, while each investigation addresses the actual site and proposed work. Identify prior studies, site access, and the structures or earthworks being considered.

03

Design through construction

CSA combines geotechnical and geostructural capabilities with construction-phase support. Discuss how design recommendations, field observations, and questions will move between teams.

A clearer scope.
A practical next step.

You don’t need every detail settled to get in touch. Send what you have, and we’ll help identify what’s needed to discuss the work.

Useful to have on hand

  • Project locations and site list
  • Regional schedule and procurement approach
  • Proposed structures and site development
  • Prior reports and project team contacts

Which locations and decisions come first?

Share the location list, available reports, and design milestones. We’ll review each site’s proposed scope, professional requirements, and coverage before agreeing on a program.

A general location is enough to start the conversation.

Hamilton Township, Ohio

Rivercrest

Design-build retaining systems informed by ground conditions

CSA delivered a five-wall design-build package for the development entrance and adapted its pier design to the subsurface conditions reported by the borings.

  • With bedrock below the near-surface soils, the design used piers embedded in glacial soils to resist lateral loading.
  • A soldier-pile wall supported the steep slope during construction, with a modular block wall installed in front.

Fed-Ex shipping facility

Earth-retention design & construction management

CSA designed five retaining walls and managed their construction for a shipping facility with a steep entrance approach and heavy truck traffic.

  • The wall systems combined modular block and drilled-pier construction with wood lagging.
  • CSA coordinated the retained entrance fill, pavement support, and vehicle-barrier design.

For the planning conversation

Give each location its own starting point.

Ohio's generalized bedrock map and Kentucky's interactive geologic map offer different views of the region. Collect the available background for each location so your program can discuss each site's investigation needs.

Good questions.
A better starting point.

Can CSA discuss a regional geotechnical program?

Yes. Share the project locations and scope with Scott. The Cincinnati-based team can review the work, required professional coverage, and scheduling for each site before committing to a regional program.

Can one geotechnical report be used for multiple sites?

Each site and proposed development needs to be evaluated on its own information. Tell the team about all locations and any existing reports so they can define the investigation and reporting needed for each.

Where is the Civil Solutions geotechnical team based?

CSA is based at 3760 Fulton Grove Road in Cincinnati, Ohio. These service pages describe regional project support; they don’t represent a separate office in every market.
